We loved this historic water-front property! And we were really surprised to discover that in the UK, some of the finest historic properties are owned by Best Western. (Being from the States, this was an interesting surprise… we typically only book at BWs when we’re on road trips.) The staff here is great and the location provides an excellent base for seeing this history-rich area in the Southeast of England. Street parking is easy and free – a rare benefit in the more populated parts of the UK. We’d definitely book here again! There was nothing we weren’t really happy about here.
Really clean room and a good size.
Staff were very friendly, helpful and professional.
Food was delicious and very well presented with lots of choice.
Check in and out was very quick.
Car park available at rear of hotel.
Central location and close to ferry port if you are traveling across to France
We have stayed here about 8 or 9 times and love it! Staff are all great, Reception, Nicki, extremely helpful! Restaurant Paulo, plus Hannah, but all waiting staff very good. Bar, Liam, Cha and Sam, all great and very welcoming.
We had a sea view room! Very nicely decorated and good facilities, lovely walk-in double shower! Comfy bed and fabulous view! The breakfast was a buffet, so as much or little as you wanted! All cooked very nicely! Such a beautiful view from the sea side of the Hotel. Ferry terminal and white cliffs away to the left, the Cruise terminal to the right and channel swimmers or little boating regattas straight in front! 🙂
I’ve stayed at the Best Western Plus Dover Marina a few times of late, It’s my ‘go to’ place now, if I’m away for a short trip.
There’s been a lot of work done upgrading the rooms, which are now beautiful, with amazing views.
For me the gym and spa facilities sell it, which are free as a guest in the hotel. They now, even have a resident osteopath twice a week which is amazing.
If you’re a foodie, the Marco Pierre restaurant serves outstanding food, and the breakfast every morning, for me, is the highlight of my day.
If you’re staying in Dover, and there are rooms available, do yourself a favour and book up…..
Nice hotel We stayed just one night. We are a family of 5 so we had to get two rooms. The rooms were clean and have AC. Bathrooms were fine with great water pressure. Having stayed in other hotels in the UK this was above average. The staff was very friendly and helpful also.
